Neighborhood
Set on the edge of the historic district, you can easily stroll to a nearby diner and historical spots, and just a little further to the downtown area. The neighborhood is quiet and homes are adorned in historical New England architecture. Take a walk down Salem’s Chestnut Street, populated with many fully restored residential houses designed by Salem Architect Samuel McIntire, who was best known for creating the Federal Style of architecture in the late 18 th Century. Getting around: You can walk to the town center and tourist attractions. There is an off-street single-car parking space on the property and convent on-street parking. Walk to Salem’s commuter rail station with frequent trains south to Boston and north to Newburyport and Rockport, Massachusetts. When the weather permits, take the Salem Ferry to Boston.
